Objectives

Participants will be able to:

  • choose the appropriate format and language
  • review and enhance their current skills in recording notes of meetings

  • Choosing the appropriate format for the agenda and minutes
  • Recording the debate:
    • how to follow the line of discussion
    • how to distinguish between information and emotion
    • how to identify the relevant points
    • how to report the decision
  • Basic note-taking techniques
  • Appropriate language for concise and correct  reporting

Who should attend?

All administrative and secretarial staff who are responsible for taking notes of meetings and writing up the minutes
